Objectives
The purpose of this course is to provide an educational vehicle that will enable one to learn IPv6 to a fair technical depth—the terms, the addresses, the protocols, and the processes.
Target Audience This course is intended for: Microsoft Windows XP and Windows .NET Server 2003 networking consultants and planners, Microsoft Windows network administrators, General technical staff, and Information technology students.
Topics Introduction to IPv6, IPv6 Protocol for the Windows .NET Server 2003 Family, IPv6 Addressing, The IPv6 Header, ICMPv6, Neighbor Discovery, Multicast Listener Discovery, Address Auto configuration, IPv6 and Name Resolution, IPv6 Routing, Coexistence and Migration, IPv6 Mobility.
Prerequisites Students should have wide knowledge and experience of networking with IPv4 on Microsoft Windows operating system.
